“SEYMORE SAYS” EDUTAINMENT READING SERIES

The “Seymore Says” series starring Seymore, Critters & Friends is brought to life through full-body puppets, ‘Cruppet’ puppets, and animated cartoon characters.  The series follows the exploits of Critter friends from the old south, backlands of America, and beyond. The cast of characters includes the unflappable Seymore of international fame, a rambling riverboat sidekick named Pepe’ la Gator, and his ever so sweet gal-pal Praline, together with scrappy young turtle Tuffy and the best jazzman since Louis Armstrong called Cat Fish.

These Critters join Mary, their human mentor, along with the often anxious and ever gullible Jean Claw … and you have the makings of a real “Krewe.”  These characters and much more kick up their heels in the forest and swamps where their world begins and ends each day in a rickety old shack on the banks of the bayou.  Weathered and creaky, this old home has been transformed into a sanctuary for the ‘Critter Club,’ which encompasses a diverse variety of friends!

The “Seymore Says” Edutainment Series is a funny and gentle mix of suspense and light-hearted comedy, continuously dealing with the themes of friendship, kindness, and forgiveness. Seymore, Critters & Friends embark on frequent adventures, ranging from difficult everyday life situations to exciting new learning experiences.

In each story, they either face insurmountable dangers that test the limits of their friendships, or they rub feathers, scales, and fur with famous folks learning valuable lessons that enrich their lives and community.

Inspired by Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and humble imagination, the stories for the “Seymore Says” Educational Series is exhibited in multiple media, including educational teaching series, games, and a series of fictional literary works including picture, picture story, chapter books, and interactive books.  While the series targets the preadolescence 3-11 year old demographic, we firmly believe these stories and characters will appeal universally to adults and children alike.
